明治神宮 Meiji-Shrine

hello there, do you know the Meiji-shrine? It is located in Tokyo and near by the Harajuku Station. It is close to the station and it takes about 2 min. There is enshrined Meiji emperor and empress.

It was originally used as another house of Kato who was leader of Higo domain. In 1874, the house bought by the Meiji Government and used as deposit of fuel.

There are many foreigners than Japanese, they were took many photos. The atmosphere was even though in the down town, not noisy and quiet.The red leaves was pretty good and I took a lot of photo in spite of myself.

Takaosan

Hello there. Do you know  Mt. Takao and have you ever been there? It is located in Hachioji City and the height is 599 meters. It is famous for red leaves in autumn, and many people visit there. So today, I would like to introduce the Mt.Takaosan. The way to the Mt. Takao is by JR train or Keio Line. Both ways take about 90 min.

There are several ways to the summit, from easy to hard. There are 6 ways and this time, I chose the easy way. It takes about 90 minutes to the summit which is about 3.5 kilometers. As I had expected, it was easy to go to the top thanks to the paved the road.

There are some cafés and rest areas on the way to the summit, I recommend the dumplings. I ordered the sesame dumpling, The taste was strongly of sesame, but it was not too heavy and it my favorite with dumpling. And the view from the reset area was really good.

Finally, I arrived at the summit. It was crowded with visitors, so I couldn’t rest well there. Even though I walked a long way to the summit, I was not tried so much.I will try to go another way in the spring.

Sankeien

Hi, there. Today I would like to introduce  ‘Sankeien’. This is a one of the famous Japanese gardens in Kanagawa. It was built by Hara Tomitaro who was a business person in1906. There are some historical old buildings and some buildings are important cultural properties designated by the government. You can go there easily from the Negishi Station and there are many buses go that to Sankeien.

There is observatory in the garden, The weather was not good at that time but the view from there was good. There is a factory area near the garden and the atmosphere was like a mixed the present and past. I remember I used to take  some photos like this.

There are some Japanese tea houses and you can eat the Japanese sweets and tea such as “Amazake”, dumpling and You can also drink Japanese green tea. This time I ordered some dumplings and the taste was simple and good.

The atmosphere was really peaceful, I could took a walk there slowly. I would like to go there again in spring.

SPADIUM JAPON

Hi there. This time I would like to introduce “SPADIUM JAPON”. This is one of the biggest public baths in Kanto region. This spa was just built in March of this year. The weather was rainy and so cold, but I thought it was good for taking bath. There were many families because it was a holiday.

The charge was 1500 yen including the rent towel. There were than 10 baths including outdoor bath and indoor baths. And there were two sauna rooms, but I left soon there because they were too hot for me. And beside baths, there was bedrock bathing. The room was more than 50 degrees but it's not as hot as sauna rooms and the healing music was playing in the room. I got covered in sweat only for 10 minutes after entering the room, I’ve got out the room and left my friend.
I felt refreshed.

The restaurants in the spa have various kinds of meals such as Japanese, Chinese, Western and Thai food. This time, I ordered a Chinese plate. It include some Chinese food such as fried chicken steam meat dumpling and fried rice and the taste was good. And I ordered a cocktail that was Oolong tea high-ball because I love to drink alcohol.




I think this spa is a little bit far from Yokohama, but it is worth it to go there.

Monja "Kura" in Tsukishima

Hello everyone. This time, I would like to introduce Tsukishima inTokyo. Tsukishima is famous as “Monja Town” . There are more than 50 of monja restaurants  (admission to monja association) in the town. Each restaurant has monja that is unique and creative and you can try it.I went to “Monja Kura” “もんじゃ　蔵” with my friends of mine this time. Many customers lined in front of the restaurant before open. And when we arrived there, the restaurant was already full inside. So we waited around 1 hour by the restaurant. Then we could enter finally and order from the menu. The restaurant has some various kinds of monja, from the basic to creative varieties.

This time, we ordered “Doria monja” and “Baby star monja”. Doria monja includes rice and is mixed together with white sauce and the ingredients of monja. I hadn’t made the monja for a long time, so I was confused, but I could make it well. It tasted like a white stew and it was creamy.


Next we ordered was “Baby-star monja”. Baby-star is one of the popular snacks in Japan. Look is noodle before boiled. The monja was tasted like the basic variety and I felt nostalgic a bit. The price of each monja was not so expensive and around from 500 yen to 1000 yen.

Team Lab Borderless

Hello everyone this post is my first on this blog.

This time I would like to introduce "Team Lab Borderless". I just went there last Monday (9/23) with one of my friends. Actually, we tried to go there last month, but it was very crowded and the tickets were already sold out. So we put off entering at that time. But we could  enter because I bought advance tickets beforehand.


There were some digital arts and they were bright. The rooms have no border, so you can go anywhere and stay as long as you like.

I took many photo for long a time, I especially I like the art of "Forest of Lamps", "ランプの森”. This art is the most popular art there. There were many lamps and changing colors and the  room was covered in mirror.
